Building work burglary.

Dear Resident.

Overnight on the 15th of January 2026, unknown offenders have approached a property undergoing building work.

The property had ladders placed to allow access to the upper levels of the property.

The offenders have used these ladders to gain access to an open bathroom window , which they have then used to gain access into the property.

Once inside their presence disturbed the occupier, this resulted in the offenders making god their escape before any items could be taken.

This incident shows the importance of ensuring points of access to your property are all secured. 

In this case the ladders used were being used as part of the building work, however if you have ladders we recommend they are stored securely so as not to be used  by criminals to gain access to windows on the upper floors of a property.
